Our brief: VAT Leader
Recruiting timeframe: two months

As experts in the taxation market, we were approached by a well known accountancy firm in the UK who wanted us to recruit a new VAT Leader. Having recently hired a new UK Head of Tax, this new position would allow them to spearhead the National Practice as well as build a London based VAT team.

Using our market knowledge and existing contacts, we identified every competitor and created a long list of suitable individuals who could potentially take on the role. This was followed up by carefully approaching the individuals to generate a short list of the most suitable candidates in the market.

The client interviewed 5 candidates, finally making an offer two months after first meeting the MRL consultant. We are now working with the new UK Head of VAT to recruit his new team in London.
